Downloading the Client
We provide a range of mirrors for users to download the AruaROSE Client. Visit the downloads page to see a full list of mirrors.
Note that the RapidShare and BinLoad.to links contain "parts" - you must download all of them!
Installing the Client
Once the client is downloaded, double click the AruaROSE_v### (### will be a version number) executable in the folder you saved it to. The installation process itself is fairy straight forward.
Note: on the "extracting" process, some files may not appear to extract at 100% - this is normal, do not worry! Also, for larger files such as data.afs, it may still be extracting even if it says 100%. The extraction process will vary depending on the speed of your computer.
Registering
The registration process is straight forward and self-explanitory. You can find the registration page here.
The first screen will present you the AruaROSE Account Policy in which all users must agree to. Once agreed, you will be presented with the registration form.
Note: it is advised that you use different In-Game Account Name and In-Game Account Password to your Forum Account Name and Forum Account Password.
Logging In For The First Time
Once the client is installed, a shortcut is placed on your desktop named AruaROSE. If it is the first time you are running the client, a file called TriggerDetect should open. Use this to set various configurations such as Screen Resolution.
The automated patcher will checks for patches, and if there are any, it will automatically download and install them. Once this is done, click the "Play" button.
Now, the client will be loading. You will be presented with a login screen, in which you enter your Account Name and Account Password in which you signed up to AruaROSE with.
Creating a Character
Once you have logged into AruaROSE and selected a server, you will be presented with a Character Selection screen where you can manage your in-game characters.
If this is your first time creating a character, the following is a short explanation of what everything is (using the image to the side):
- Character Name (Yellow): this is what your character is called (this cannot be changed!)
- Sex (Green): Female or Male character.
- Face (Blue): there are a range of unique faces to pick from (you can change your face by speaking to an in-game NPC).
- Hair (Purple): there are a range of unique hairs to pick from (you can change your hair by speaking to an in-game NPC).
- Start Point (Red): this determines where you start on Birth Island.
- Birth Stone (Orange): this feature is currently not used in-game.
Once you have picked your characters features, select Create (indicated by the shared red area).
- Exit: this will return you to the AruaROSE Server Selection screen.
- Create: this will allow you to create a new Character.
- Delete: this will delete a Character
- If you delete a character, it will be put on a 24-hour timer before it is removed incase you change your mind.
- Start: once you have selected a Character, you can spawn into the world of AruaROSE.
Dying Penalties
The set penalty for dieing is 3% of your total experience. If your experience is currently 0%, the total experience needed for your next level will increase.
Monster Name Colours
When you move your mouse pointer on a monster, you should see its name. The color of the name tells you about the monster's level related to yours:
Purple: The monster is way above your level. Don't even try.
Pink: The monster is still a lot higher than you, but it's possible to kill it with strong buffs.
Red: The monster is significantly higher than you, but it is possible to kill it with some help.
Orange: The monster is slightly above your level, but it's in the nice killing range.
Yellow: The monster is about your level. These are the monsters you should kill.
Green: The monster is slightly below your level. You receive a little less experience and drops from it.
Blue: The monster is significantly lower than you. You will receive only a little of experience and drops from it.
Light blue: The monster is a lot lower than you. You will receive very little exp and no drops from it.
Grey: The monster is much, much lower than you. You will receive almost no exp and no drops from it.
Storage
Storage, or Warehouse as it is refered to in-game, is used as a secondary storage for equipment players have collected during their travels through the world of AruaROSE, and also Zullie. The storage is tied to your account, so you can access the same Storage any characters under the same account.
Depositing
You can deposit any piece of equipment into your Storage for a small fee. Depositing zullie is free.
Withdrawing
You can withdraw equipment or zullie at any major city using the Storage NPC.
